I've added mins/mi or mins/km underneath each of your own times in the table. I didn't do it for all 20 rows, to stop it getting a bit number-heavy - but hopefully the paces are useful.

Fragile Do Not Bend
Oh dear, I’m going to lose a whole minute off my 1 mile time soon. As that was a very wind-assisted runon a completely flat sea front, I can’t see me recreating it any time soon :)

It's quite windy at the moment - you could find a nice mile somewhere on one of your routes :-)

I managed to turn 2 of my 5 cobwebs into gold with my run this morning :) Still nowhere near promotion, but maybe once the ringers have left D23 ..

Good going. Beware of the ringers from D25 heading your way.

Reading the blogs by Fetch, I have been motivated to join the game - now to commence some easy jogging after my knee injury settled down. I won't be troubling any of the higher divisions for some time :-)

The ringers have turned the game into a slow burn affair for noobs, but your times last for 365 days anyway... so you can chip away and get yourself set up for a profitable couple of months in the future :-)

There's only a few of us and we'll be through quickly enough. Plus, each person that originally dropped out meant that everyone else shuffled up a place. There may be quite a few in D3 who wouldn't normally be there!

Here's my blog about my tactics this week:

fetcheveryone.com/blog/3/2022/5/449159

I've figured out that if I can't get promoted from D12 this week, I've got a better chance next week. The top 3 will go up, and because there are only 17 players in D11, no-one's coming down. On top of that, I think the three players coming up from D13 are ones I was up against last week.

As jda says, I'm benefiting from the gaps arriving at the right time :-) In theory, I will go from 9th to 6th on Monday - but with any luck I can get a sub-2 half this weekend, plus a slightly faster mile time at some point, and then who knows?

All good fun :-)

About This Thread

Maintained by fetcheveryone
Start in the bottom division, and compete over seven different distances against your rivals for weekly promotion!

How It Works
1) The game takes your best times from training and racing over the last 12 months.

2) If you've got the fastest 5k in your division, you get 20 points. If you're second fastest, you get 19 points, etc.

3) Your FIVE best scores are used to calculate your total. So if your scores at each distance are 20,20,20,20,20,10,5 the lowest two are discarded, and your total points would be 100.

4) Promotion and relegation happen every Monday at midday.
