It is with great regret that we need to inform all Excalibur Marathon participants that the event is cancelled for this Saturday 23rd March 2013 due to the Met Office’s severe weather warning. We have had to take this very difficult decision in conjunction with the warden team at the Clwydian and Dee Valley Range based on the predicted heavy snowfall and minus temperatures. This could not only put participants at risk, but our many marshals, volunteers and staff from other agencies that are supporting the event. We are working as quickly as possible to establish a future date for Excalibur to take place and we will of course contact all participants with the offer of a new date. We will consult the FRA and the WFRA calendars and do our utmost to ensure that our revised date will not clash with any other forthcoming events. We will therefore be able to transfer your entry fee to the next date, hold it until Excalibur 2014 or where necessary, offer a refund. In the meantime, please accept our sincere apologies and we do hope that you understand our position and we look forward to seeing you all in the near future.
