Thanks to this thread I have installed RunGap and joined to both my Health and Garmin Connect accounts. It has synced the workouts from Health, but is also importing my Garmin Connect history - going back a decade, we are going to be here for some time!

My question is:- if I get this swag bag subscription thingy, will it sort of re-import my old Garmin Connect workouts, so they would then be duplicated on fetch? Or is it clever enough to sort that out.

Presumably, if I don’t wanted to lay the subscription, I can use RunGap to export each activity I record on my Apple Watch to a file and import that manually to fetch, yes?

Another shout out for the WorkOutDoors app. I upload each activity from this app to Fetch (which might not be for everyone).

Extremely customisable as well - creating maps, workouts etc. Essentially everything a top end Garmin does, minus the battery life.

My experience was that it is clever enough to sort it. I didn’t get any duplicates.

Is there any way to completely automate the import from Apple Health to Fetch WITHOUT paying for a Run Gap subscription?

Having scanned this forum & other Google Searches, I concluded RunGap was the only way to go, and it works.
Needed to pay £9.99 for the year to enable sharing to Garmin Connect (& Strava). Set up RunGap to use Apple Health as the 'source'.
Set up Garmin Connect and strava as 'destinations'.
In all I set the date to collect new to yesterday…having seen it start importing from Garmin from 2016 (so quickly stopped this).
So I can now set my Apple Series 9 watch for an Apple Health walk or run, and it should bounce to RunGap, then from RunGap to Garmin Connect (& Strava) then from Garmin Connect to FetchEveryone.
It all worked for a 6km walk today.

Hello all,

I am unlikely to develop something for Apple watches in the near future - so if there's a concrete way of transferring data from Apple to Fetch, can someone outline it please? Even if it requires the download of an app, or a subscription fee.

(I can see that the previous post from @FatRayToSlim suggests a way to do it, but I wanted to make sure that works well before I start pointing all Apple users at it)

Thanks :-)

I have used the following method for years:

1. Download WorkOutDoors app. All the functionality of a top end Garmin (minus the battery life).

2. Record run on this app.

3. ‘Share’ workout to the orange place if wanted. ‘Save’ to files. Upload GPX (or other file type if preferred) to Fetch.

Because it’s required a few seconds input from me on a daily basis, I have always then logged on Fetch the shows, type of run, terrain etc. rather than the otherwise ubiquitous ‘genera run’

£5 one off fee for a very useful app.

I'm prototyping a new iOS app, and one aspect of it is exporting and saving run data from an Apple device. Wasn't specifically for uploading here, but could possibly spin it off into a side project if that would be useful (and if there was an endpoint available could possibly even automate the upload?).

Not sure if this is any better than any of the current solutions?

+1 for WorkOutDoors. Takes a couple of clicks but excellent app - by far the best I found for Spplewatch (and I looked at a few)
