Thanks Andy ... I was about to reply, but spotted your comprehensive reply.
Without mentioning the effective maximum range of a 1700/1800 era cannon .. (=league). Lucky they designed gravity and cannons to shoot in whole nautical miles.

[wonders what the french/portuguese/spanish/other naval nation states measures were pre metric]

I have gained something like 20 badges, but so, obviously, has everyone else because I actually dropped a lot of places in the league 😂 62.000 odd kms of cycling count for nothing, obvs 🤣

I’ve gained about 20 Swimbling badges just now - that may explain Hsnn’s drop in the league, wherever that is…

I'm hanging on at #9.

I need to rejoin WSW for a couple or easy pickings (challenging/being challenged) but I don't have a lot more out there.

Ah, yes, that explains it! I got a fair amount of cycling badges, but only 3 swimming ones. People like Jules must have gotten lots of cycling AND swimming badges so everyone who swims has pushed well in front of me :)

In any case, when I started on the badges earlier this year, the plan was to get 200. I went from 188 to 210 so I achieved my goal.

One problem though: I am now addicted to badges... 😎 And still struggling because I cannot log my Garmin 301 on Fetch, too old, can't get the server... So I log my walking and run/walking manually so cannot play WSW :(

Totally broke, so new watch is out of the question, but I may re-visit running with the cycling Garmin... I need to cobble together some sort of holder to put it on my wrist...
Then upload, change manually to running/walking...
