I was also really pleased with my OC tonight - got quite a few (including the seconds one that VC-M thought no-one would get!). I was surprised by which team eventually won, but their 2 team members seemed more knowledgeable than the captain. |

Yes, that was easy, I couldn't believe they didn't get that. Actually, I thought the presenter, as usual I forget her name, was extremely condescending to one team in particular, her jokes need to be culled too, as ever. I think it depends on what subjects turn up, usually very good at missing vowels, very poor this week. |

Only Connect is a lot like cryptic crosswords in that at first its incomprehensible but as you work out the patterns and types of questions it becomes far simpler. Only programme on TV I actually make an effort to watch.

I got the imperial / metric answer precisely because of hurdle heights in athletics - it rang a bell that 91.4cm was one of the hurdle heights (36in/3ft, probably U17 or similar)! I'll hear no criticism of VC-M as host, she is sublime!! I had a good vowels round last night, but we were poor on the 4x4 connections board, especially the first one. |

The trouble with them is that they are not funny, in any way at all and they ar ein fact an affectation as much as saying goodnight to a camera. oooohh look at me I am making a nerdy joke for people who like quizzes who are nerdy. No, no, no nooooooo, NO. FUCK OFF! If you want to be nerdy or different just announce the scores and the winner and it finishes, don't even say a thing, like there are no prizes at the very end which is great. I am not at all by it. |
