Gosh, what a strange coincidence. I've just looked hypothyrodism after spending my lunchbreak considering some symptoms I've been having. Thinking about going to my GP but was a bit concerned that, given the low incidence in men, that she'd think I was a raving hypochondriac.

Blimey JC if anyone would know how to deal with it then it's your family
Maybe it's a bit more common than I thought. Trouble is I think that you could pick any health symptom and it would show up as a thyroid problem. So how do you know which is another illness and which is a thyroid issue?

I felt unwell for possibly 6 months or more as the 4 months marathon training and feeling crap was put down to training, so even though it was staring me in the face I wasnt convinced! But I have to say I feel 95% normal now!

Yeah that's what I think. I do so much running around and exercise then of course I'm feeling lethargic and tired!

Same here. I was marathon training so put tiredness down to that and put the brain fog down to getting old! I would have carried on in ignorance if a doctor friend that I used to run with had not pointed out the swelling in my throat (now gone).
