I had my doctors appointment last night. I described how I've been feeling and his answer was that I'm older now. Not that impressed with the answer.

He did say about doing a ECG and more blood test for anemic or diabetes so it will rule those out I suppose.

That's not the response you want! Find out what your TSH level is as mine was with in the norm but I felt dreadful it's now down by 1 but feeling much better, thankfully my dr looks at numbers but also the symptoms, go back!

Thanks J*C.

He said that the level was correct but didn't give me any numbers. I'll ask him again when he gives me the blood test results. Telling me that you start to slow down as you get older isn't much a answer. :-(

I agree, the first Dr I saw when mine was 2.65 said I was norm and I supposemimwas within it, but my symptoms were so hypo,mk asked for b12 and iron too these were also within norm but right at low end so I've just added supplements, but the 2 nd dr did agree I was presenting all the symptoms and weight gain, no surprise the 6 lbs have gone over the last 8 weeks!
It's 1.62 now 😄

I was going to ask that question actually. Even though the thyroid levels are correct do you still get the underactive symptoms? Or are they meant to gradually fade? Just asking.

I can't say mine have completely gone but greatly reduced only left with cold sweats and aches in joints but nothing like before
I have s long family history of it and a Hubbie and we all still have varying degrees of symptoms

You have aching joints too then? I thought that was just me.

Thank you for your replies J*C. I can't help but feel a bit abandoned and on my own a bit with it all so they are much appreciated.
