It's good to have a dream, of course it is. I can tell you this though, for "normal" runners the UTMB itself is far from a dream - forgetting the hype for a moment, it remains one of the hardest races there is and the scope for disaster is huge. I did it before I tackled the CCC and TDS so didn't really have any hindsight. Being out for those two nights with that amount of climb is absolutely destroying and I think my CCC and TDS times illustrate this. You have to be sure you really want to do it, so many people go there having spent years building the points up and it all comes to nothing.

I'm not quite sure what you mean there, but I definitely class myself as a normal runner. If you thought I was claiming to be some sort of elite athlete, you'd be dead wrong.
