Which would people recommend I apply for in terms of chances of getting a place, difficulty of course, logistics, costs etc. Thank you!

Are they lotteries too? Don't worry too much about doing one of these races though. There is a shit load of stuff going on in the Alps of all distances.

If you want to do UTMB in future then do the CCC as its more or less the last half of UTMB The TDS is run on another route all together, is over rougher terrain an has less aid stations. If CCC goes to ballot and you do not get in and TDS is not full you will be offered a place in TDS.
flip Nov 2011 8:00pm, 14 Nov 2011 4,499 posts	flip Agreed with loon.Yes plenty going on in the Alps and i would love ot do them all (and intend to ) but UTMB is a bit special and i'd always feel something left out if i didn't do it. Hope i get through the ballot and stay unbroken.
