it has a hood. It's a north face resolve insulated. It was on offer from 100 to 40 . Its a bit to much unless its very cold and icy rain but it could be like that 9i've been looking -10 and icy rain ain't that unusual high up and at night. ) and it will be good for the lakes and a bit of climbing in winter.It will only go in my bag if the forecast is bad otherwise is my Montane. oh and i look like paddington without it at the mo

I didn't have to buy one, i knew my white witch gortex number would come in handy again one day. The Frenchies like their white gear but I draw the line at copying them with white lycra shorts though, very off putting! Yeah it can get to -10 at nights seemingly. I noticed they've changed a couple of cut off times from last year, just 15 min here and there so i'll fiddle with my spreadsheet again tomorrow.
