Hi guys. No way my head was letting me do the CCC route. I was so fired up with the adrenalin and atmosphere for UTMB and just got settled by mile 6 then had a bubble when it got cancelled. And a few more bubbles. I was happily falling down mud as per usual, very similar to conic hill but on acid!!Texts after 2am to say option to do CCC route and to be at buses by 6.15 and we were in the pub then texts at 5am to say limit of 1000 for it. My clothes were soaked and i didn't pick up my drop bag with dry stuff till earlier today. I'm gutted to say the least but i know i would have got no satisfaction doing CCC as a 2nd option. I wil be back!! I'll txt Flip later to let you know how the guys are doing, i've nicked Richie C's computer while he's running. I did hear he was in 150 place at one point. This place rocks and we're having a fantastic holiday.

We can get times in town Hellen or you have to sign up for txt messages. Jez Brag seemingly moved up to 2nd place and Richie is now 57th. Dod and Drew were the same time at a checkpoint and heading for half way. The other guys still going good too. I wont be able to post later as well be down town waiting on runners coming it. Watched some PTL guys come in which was awsum as we seen them leave on Tuesday night miles on no paths ad just with a map and gps. lol this has been my most surreal wonderful week ever and no regrets. Sitting with Scott Jurek in a park after he made us green and red curry and getting to stand on Richie C's hamstrings and arse cheeks on doing Meridian stretching techniques with the chinese doctor on hand. Swimming in a lake 7000ft above sea level, running the last 18k on Tuesday, sitting at 12000ft all day Monday to aclimatise and getting the wobbles up high in the mountains, superb :-).

Hellen, I am using this: utmb.livetrail.net

I know a few numbers: Binks 3949, Drew 497, Oli 2577...are there any others? Might need real names to find them though... Dod might not be useful ;)
