Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Traffic was very light. Just a long way and half of it in the dark. I’m getting old and don’t enjoy driving like I used to either @HazelnutCH

Sorry I have been very AWOL but I'm still here plodding away at my 20 running challenges for 20 years of running.

Had 3 weeks in Cape Town getting some new parkruns under my belt and running with the local club. Was great apart from the stomach bug we both got! Hubby then got it a week later!

Then May I've been doing my at least 2km a day and ticking off now West Midlands' parkruns.

Foot is just about holding up, though do get twinges every now and then.

Hope everyone is doing ok. Will try and pop in a bit more, but it's a struggle to keep on top of everything at the moment.

Emz, busy life, glad all is going well though!
Hazel, well done on the early run!
Thought I would do a bus to Stromness, out along coast 6m then back, didn't quite go to plan. For a start the bus which said Stromness was going a very roundabout way there and the driver I felt was not totally in control, speeding through villages, overtaking when he couldn't see etc and I decided to get off at Scara Brae and run back to Stromness (same distance as planned roughly). I knew it was a bit windy but hadn't banked on a guestimated 40mph wind in my face all the way (at least it was blowing off the sea) and to be honest I couldn't run a lot of it. Still jog/walk stagger got me there in the end and a much more sensible driver on bus back. Will check I have correct bus next time though not much can do about driver, never had a worrying one before.
Housework and coffee with a friend this afternoon.
