Waiting for a conductor before the train can leave. It is only delayed by 70 minutes so what is a few more minutes

Three weeks ago, our train to Littlehampton was delayed by 25 minutes. When we got back home that evening, I went on line & filled in a Delay Repay form.

I’m sure the website said that I would get a reply within 20 days. Today I received an email from Southern informing me that because of the delay to our train, my wife & I would get the princely sum of 90 pence each.

Still, Christmas is fast approaching, every little helps!

Still not moving. I have used the loo though so it’s quite an expensive wee so far.

Update for yesterday. I got off the train, walked from Earlswood to Redhill, looked around the shops then got on a train an hour and a bit later - which was when they had just started up again.

advice on Scotrail yesterday was that passengers should use "alternative modes of transport" on 27, 28 and 29 December. They must know it's going to be terrible when they are advising you not to even try to use the transits

I liked the announcement on website the other day.

Rail replacement buses are delayed by bad road conditions.
