12 weeks to train for a 10 mile race/Fetchfest from a starting point of "can just about get round 5k at parkrun". I've put together a training plan, mixing up running with cycling and swimming, with the intention of running it all and getting a PB - 1:49:35 would do it (10:55 mm)
Today was Day 1. It's a rest day. Tick

That's the kind of plan I need! Is day 2 a rest day too?

Day 2 completed. It was rather lovely and far too much fun to count as training :) Santa's legs were getting the way a bit to start with, but were fine after I adjusted his baubles.

You now know that you can keep your legs moving on flat tarmac for nearly double the length of time it'll take you to run the Draycote 10. Careful you don't peak too soon ;)

Wise words, V'rap so I heeded your warning.
Today was supposed to be a swim but the local pool where I go is shut for maintenance for a couple of weeks so that didn't happen.
It was too frosty for safe cycling so I read a book instead.
