I have loved my kanadias but just bought the inov-8 230 which I'm raring to go in, they are so comfy and apparently good for light trail as well as road, hence my decision to give these a try.

there is a minimalist shoe thread which is where eL Bee found me & my shoe dilemma :)

Helloooo :)

emmie - the 230 was originally designed as a trail racing shoe, but it makes a fantastic road shoe as well.
As others have said it is an excellent all-rounder and bridges that road/trail gap nicely. But it is limited once it gets muddier.
The terrafly has been designed to bridge that same gap in a slightly less accidental way

Thanks for all the advice! Now I've just have to decide, terrafly or flite... is one better than the other?

Hello again! I'm still struggling this inov-8 dilemma. Ladies Terrafly 277 or Ladies F-lite 215 (apparently an updated 230). They're both female specific fit with the same "shoc-zone".. I can't decide! Help?

Female specific mostly means 'girly colours and a smaller size range'!!

I can't try them on because I live in Italy. I know my size as I have a pair of roclite 295s. It's a hard decision!

I thought female specific meant a narrower heal.. I do have very narrow feet. Buying climbing shoes can be a problem!

Narrower heel even. I am slightly concerned about the minimal nature of the cushioning. I've worn Nike free shoes and loved them although they weren't the most minimal of their range. If I build up slowly would it be okay?

The heel is marginally narrower relative to the forefoot, but the 230 is reasonably narrow (all of it) anyway. Noticeably narrower than your 295s which are a 'comfort' fit which is wider than the 'performance' fit of the 230.
If you have particularly narrow feet I think you'll find the 'anatomic' fit of the terrafly will be a bit wide in the forefoot

Got something to say?
