Can anyone recommend a shoe that is good for road and trail? I've seen the inov8 terrafly which sounds good but is also expensive. Any other ideas?

Most of my runs are on well maintained foot paths/tracks and then there's always road leading to them. I'm trying to keep of tarmac but it's impossible. Thanks, I'll have a look!

I wear Innov8 flite 230's for everything, but don't do much off road beyond parkruns They're fantastic in ice and I haven't had a single injury since I switched from the clumpy motion control road shoes and they come in purple |

HellsBells, how long do they last? I was tempted by a pair of them but I thought they were for racing and wouldn't last.

To be honest, I wear mine mostly on road, but they handle most things other than deep mud very well. Mine are only at 300 miles or so, but they are in great condition. They are quite flat and minimal (at least by my standards) so you need to build up the distance in them slowly, unless you are already very used to a forefoot/midfoot thing. |

I get around 1100 miles out of a pair of 230's and I am very not light! Spot on JonnyO, I use mine for almost everything but in mud they are useless.
