Ohhhh there is hope for an injured runner to still log training! I’m doing strength exercises every hour inc foam rolling. I won’t be logging them but I will continue to log my workouts and work ins (yoga stretching)

GG: why not do a rough tally of how much time the hourly strength stuff takes and log that once a day?

It's rehab, innit? Can't run if you don't fix yersel. Well done with every hour. I was lucky if I did physio daily! :-) G

GG I have done that with repeated rehab exercises in the past - I think it's useful to have a record and I found it made me feel more accountable.

That is a good point thank you and will make me feel I have done and completed it. I done get everything hour last night we were in the car for 4 hrs but I had ice on it and did alphabets with my feet. When I’m on a call I stand and do single leg work and pop out to foam roll maybe not more than a minute but my calf is so tender it’s enough.

Right I’ll start noting how long I do. Good for accountability

geordiegirl - 600 - 285 - 62

From a start in May with an injury im over the moon to be where I am an increase in specific strength training and foam rolling although I forgot to log most of it. Just happy to have ended the month with a fixed foot & hoping it stays that way.

Best month this year. Marathon training started, massage gun used daily & at the grand old age of 50 I’ve decided to study karate & spend 5 hours a week in the dojo!

About the thread:

A shout out if anyone else wants to set themselves a goal in terms of time training (hours).

Remember, whatever you want to count as training... counts as training. If it's walking the dog, cycling to work, mindfulness and meditation, knitting, whatever you want to track, you track the hours!!

For anyone who wants to join us - it's easy, just estimate how many hours a year of training you want to do, and each month we see if we're on target.

2024 is a GO! :-) G

Here we track time spent doing anything you want to track as training. Ideal for non-runners, cross trainers, walkers, the injured etc!

Inspired by Sigh's blog (even though he's not playing any more!) fetcheveryone.com/blog/83896/2019/7#blog395919

Time has now been added to most logs, summaries and graphs, so thanks Fetch! :-) G
