Looks an interesting book SPR. I am able to run just now but my mobility is restricted, my stride suffering and I am so far off the pace it's not real. XC relays then some indoor though I hope. I've only done 3 indoor races before (2 x 3000 and 1 x 1500) so looking forward to trying out the likes of the 800 and just having a bit of fun with no real expectation. |

After a frustrating time with injury and family illness and a multitude of withdrawing from races I did an 800m OGM on Saturday. Off the pace from earlier in the year in 2.17.89 but happy with that with a lack of real training. Ahead of me in the race was my 65 year old training partner who casually broke the M65 world record in 2.15.30, was amazing to watch.

Cheers Gobi, had been hoping to get sub 2.20 so more than happy with that.

Sub 2.20 is my target, too. Did 2:22.9 this year, so it may be possible. 2:15 is an incomprehensible time for a 65 year old, markgall!

Surprised myself with a 4.47 1500 off only a 2.24 800 this year. Best 1500 since about 2005

J2R the lad Paul Forbes is an amazing runner, I'm fortunate I get to train with him. He's been in 2 commonwealth games 800m finals when younger. The change of pace he has is frightening!

Hey SPR is it time for 2022 goals list? Obviously I failed on sub 2.20 this year but stunned myself with the 1500 in sub 4.50 so unexpected it wasn't even a goal. |
