Congrats Mark. You've had a great season. Thanks Gobi, felt strong in the two 1500 races before the 5000 and the 3000 was a bit of an aberration (always seems to be the way for me). Definitely a confidence boosting run. Feeling like the end of the season and not sure I'll hold on for 11 Sept for a 1500 so thinking Thursday possibly for a final race, then 3000/ 5000 at 11 Sept if I feel like running and using it more as a warm up for the road relays. Or maybe I should do the Nuneaton road 10k on 12 Sept instead as an over distance warm up (very unlikely I think). |

Solid 4:25.11 1500 for me today. Winner ran 4:20.10 and went past me at 600 and I couldn't hold him. Don't think I'll be doing anymore MD training this year so if I do another 1500 (possibly Nuneaton 11 Sept) it will be run based on what I've banked over the year.

Thanks all. It's certainly nice to run 4:25 in a race where I felt I didn't have the legs to respond at 600. Previous years that would probably have ended up as a 4:28-29 so shows progress made this year.

Unwisely took to the track today as I was with one of my sons turning out for the club. 1500m in a dismal 6:04, but not an unsurprising outcome after 4 weeks without running and having done a 1?25m downhill "fun run" earlier in the day. Still, at least I scored 2nd A points for the club |

Yep, it's not exactly the most competitive league, the Cheshire T&F League. 1st A was 5:36 and there were only 3 seniors running. Though the limited quality depth suits me fine!! |
