Just want to ask, as today is my first attempt at running a full marathon, do I wear my glasses or run without, as its looking like its going to be a light rain or drizzle, can see without, just everything will be out of focus.

I always run in glasses even with heavy rain. Rain is set to clear early today anyway.

Fizz :-)
What did you do in training? I wear mine, but then I'd fall over without them :-)

I used to wear contact lenses when running but found that anything over about 10K and I got a head ache. Also the sweat going in my eyes was twice as painful with contacts.

Specs all the way for me now - a wipe every now and then on the running vest top clear the rain off.

Good luck, I often use dark glasses when running. Main problem for me with rain on reading glasses is when I need to read a route plan or map for unmarked LDWA events.
So yes use glasses if you have worn them in training otherwise NO do not try anything new.

I always run in specs because my eyesight is so bad I would probably get lost if I didnt.

I always wear my glasses, otherwise it is a happy blur! I do carry a little running pouch and put them in there is it is too heavy. Today was fine though and they stayed on and I saw everything clearly:-)

I run in glasses, often prescription sun glasses. A good peak cap is essential if it is raining. Struggle to run without them, especially in the dark.

How did you get on Sue?

I wear glasses quite a lot when running. They can be a pain if its raining, as they steam/mist up, so need a wipe.
I prefer contacts for a long race

I wear disposable contact lenses for most of my runs, except for a very short run of less than 2 miles. However, I am toying with the idea of running sunglasses.
