I suggested bucket, but was told that this was not allowed, donations had to go via parkrun hq. I suppose you can't be too careful. I am sure everyone associated with parkrun is honest, but you must avoid any opportunity for wrong doing to maintain confidence.

A small amount of money funds the teabags and the rest usually gets donated to charity on their birthday (this Saturday, as it happens :-)). I don't think any of the funds go back to parkrun, but I could be wrong, I'm sure someone will be along soon to confirm

Imagine Bushy Park, with 20 people at every marshal point grumbling that they couldn't have a button-pressing job.
