Every week is less daylight and with sinusoidal acceleration towards the autumn equinox that is starting to become a significant factor. Kind of feels like he is starting to chase his tail on this one.

Or will it be delayed again? Starting straight into a storm doesn't seem a great idea?

And now the rest of the day straight into a headwind. Given the delay already I'm really surprised he didn't wait another 24 hours. Tomorrow's weather still isn't great but today's is just a nightmare if you're trying to go north to south.

Well, after hitting his Day 1 target ( up and down the Ben, then WHW to Tyndrum ), yesterday on Day 2 he missed his planned stop in central Glasgow, just getting to Milngavie. Now today, things not looking too good, started at 8am and 5 hours in he's only covered about 18 miles ( google maps Milngavie to Hamilton by bike ).
It's going to be a long day trying to get to Moffat at that average speed.
I wonder if his ankle ( recently badly sprained, which delayed the start ) is flaring up ?

Finished at Crawford last night, then tracker straightlines it to Moffat, so I guess he got a lift to pre-arranged accommodation ?

The tracker's not moved this morning - having a rest day to help with any injuries, or all over ? He's not done a FB update since end of day 2 at Milngavie

Must have been tracker problems earlier, track now showing starting back at Crawford at 7am this morning, seems to be moving steadily, about 1km every dot (ie every 11 mins) so about 5.5kmh/3.4mph

Alex looks on track to finish tomorrow, assuming no mishaps. He's a day behind his original schedule, but think it will still be a new record for walking/running between the 3 national peaks
