Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Had a massive crisp in your packet? Post it here! Your starter for 10 is my lunch time snack, coming in at 80mm

So, just to clarify, you're telling me I MUST go and buy a massive selection of crisps tomorrow? šŸ˜‰

Sigh
I notice you have measured it along the length of a ridge; was it the same length when measured across the ridges, in which case a manual adjustment would be required to assess the extra circumference to be gained if the all ridges were flat ;-)

I also noticed you're doing the crisp a small disservice. The ruler starts at the edge of the crisp packet but it looks like the crisp overhangs a little and extends further than 80 the other way. I reckon you're looking at an 85mm crisp there.

As to Sigh's point - if the crisp could be stretched out, perhaps after being soaked to make it more flexible - then I think you could potentially double its width.

But you've eaten it haven't you?

Jase, yes you must.

Sigh, I know I might have started a big debate on how to measure a crisp but I went for simple rather than exact. I hope you don't mind. I would remeasure but it's an ex-crisp.

I’m looking forward to seeing everyone's massive crisps. To be honest I think it will be hard to beat (but would be glad to be proved wrong). I tend to have a packet of crisps most days and this is definitely a rogue crisp.

If it was an island, I think it would be Tenerife.
