Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch
or for an ad-free Fetcheveryone experience!

Inspiring stuff on this thread, which is a relief as a few pages back I thought it was turning into the politics thread.

Thanks everyone for lifting the inspiration level.

Just for the record, nobody with a sub-4 marathon to their name is an "also-ran"...

no offence intended, Andy! It was a ref to horse-racing reports when they name the first four by place, then "also-ran". I can safely say I'm not making the top four at any major event!

Winning races is about picking the right event...

I think the walking change will mean that in a few months time, there will be a newbie or someone recovering from injury who is logging the dog walks etc with their Garmin and won’t be hounded out (pun intended) for logging walks as runs. Their opponent’s reaction will be “meh” rather than anything else. That alone is worth it for any other slight impacts on the game.

Sigh
Thanks to my GPS going haywire for no apparent reason during this morning's run, I have managed to claim one normally inaccessible square, at sub-5 min/mile pace :-O

Sigh - You don’t need to lie on here to cover yourself for trespassing.... I’m sure WSW will even itself out with some Ninja corners at a later date
