I recognised the one I got today: it was of Edinburgh. I can't name the street, but the Quaker Meeting House is on the raised pavement to the right, a good place to go for lunch during the Festival.

This picture confirmed to me that these are (probably) all highly doctored to make them appear more than a little surreal.

The one I have today is of Ronda in Spain, and is the first to feature somewhere I've run.

I see that this thread has been linked to Fetch Fliers, no doubt because these are the only two threads that mention Ronda.

I've been to Ronda. Twice. Stayed at the Hotel Polo.

I attended C.A.B. training in the Quaker Meeting House: also got an excellent lunch. Dhal, with fresh coriander.

Recently, my Windows 10 picture has been Croatian islands. Look idyllic.

Today's picture is of the Moray ruins near Cusco in Peru. According to the clickthrough, this was (it is theorised) the complex site of an Incan agricultural research station.
