I'm amazed Middlesbrough isn't higher on that list......only a lowly second place??!! I worked away in Salford when I was 18. It was the first time I'd spent any real amount of time north of Watford. And it was the first time I'd ever seen roller shutters on the front of people's houses!!!!! -km surprised there's no place on the list for Luton, Slough or Swindon......no offence |

"-km" ???? That's supposed to be "I'm" Oh, and a notable mention for Aberdeen. Great looking city with all its imposing granite buildings, but I've been there three times for work/pleasure and on each occassion its been a matter minutes from disembarking the train before I have been verbally abused by a drunken Scotsman. Maybe I look too English......although not experienced it in Dundee, Inverness or Edinburgh?! |

A special award for the Isle of Sheppey. If Kent is supposed to be the garden of England (which I doubt by the way) then the IoS must be the compost heap. An absolute dump...

If i were to be kind, at least the likes of Middlesbrough and Hull have a bit of character, and an identity that goes with an industrial past. Reading on the otherhand.......... |

Is that right, T no P? I once worked with someone who came from the Isle of Sheppey. He spoke of it in the most reverential manner ... then again, the place he had moved to was Handsworth, Birmingham There is apparently "100 Crap Towns" publication due for release. One of the places where I work gets a mention. The residents are described as drifting around like tumbleweed. I've never personally seen a miserable complaining tumbleweed before ... |
