Who views a house 'several times' but always at the same time on the same day of the week - especially if there's a big road with no speed limit literally the other side of the garden fence?

I did laugh a bit at the "we can't move, nobody will buy it".
Well, you did...

True.
A conversation with daughter the other day led me to looking at houses in St Ives (Cornwall). She insisted her boyfriend had found several houses in the town for less than £200k and I was extremely sceptical.

A quick look found me some parking spaces for £45k and £55k respectively :-o

The Mussile
Crap reporting on that Birmingham one to go with the obligatory compo face. The house is not 9ft from the road, the property might be but the house isn't.

Typical appalling planning permission from the council to the developers though. In a bid to get as many houses in the area as possible some of the placements in these newer estates is morally criminal.

😮
I loved visiting St Ives, but have always thought places like that would be a nightmare to live in, with tourists crowding the streets in the peak months (not that it's a dilemma I'll ever face in reality, working for the NHS 😝). Beautiful areas, but so popular.

I remember visiting Castle Combe once, and so many cottages had notices up requesting people refrain from sitting on their walls and window sills when taking photos, and indeed saw a pair of tourists taking selfies on someone's doorstep. I'd be upstairs emptying the chamber pot out of the window if that was my place 😉

Not quite what springs to mind when barn conversion is mentioned 😅
