I'd like it better if the outside had got the same amount of care as the inside. On the market for nearly six months - are things slow in Stoke, or do lots of buyers share Quimby's opinion?

I think it’s an example of how much too much money and too much space can combine to make a something quite hideous. I drive past it quite often but don’t know about the link to Old Thorns. Strangely enough, I ran around the perimeter of Old Thorns the other day. There are some nice houses built on the edges of the course.

I think they've probably run out money - it's been going on for years and it's just one man and his builder's van so he appears to be doing it between "proper" jobs. I wouldn't take him on as a builder if it takes that long to do his own stuff!
