Simple ankle rotations in each direction and pointing and flexing the feet are an excellent daily habit for ankle mobility, and you can do them while sitting at your desk, dinner table etc.

There are a few traditional yoga poses that aid (or require) ankle mobility but many of them require significantly open hips and/or healthy knees to perform safely, neither of which are common in the slightly older* running and cycling population 😉

Thanks KinkyS - wasn't sure if it really was that simple!
I guess balance poses too like tree and warrior would help?

EP, my ankle mobility has improved (along with other joints!) with (nearly) daily yoga, I think pedalling the legs in downward dog is a help, as well as the rotations KS mentions (I always do those pre-run as part of my warm-up).

Thanks AL

I really need to ensure I make time for this as I am shocking at doing stuff!

But last night it was very apparent I need to - I guess the extra blubber doesn't help either

Yoga continues , still struggling with belief and not doing as much but recently I have at least wanted to do it rather than forcing my self.

Gobi, Yay for wanting to do yoga.
I was massively disappointed the one day I slept to my alarm - had time to stretch, but not do a yoga session. I've been treating absurd wakeup times as a chance for morning yoga. Thursday was a win as I slept through the night, but I did miss my yoga session.

It's been quiet in here :-)
I'm still getting to the mat pretty much every day and really feeling the benefits.

And it's almost time for Adriene's new 30 day series.

My mat use is err to do weights on
I love yoga when I get there
I love the idea of yoga (would love to train just for my own interest)
Just never get to doing it
Need more time!

Most days - tend to find weekends harder bizarrely! Looking forward to the January 30 day challenge :)
