Another fire, this time in an oil storage depot. Are fires like this a regular occurrence (poor maintenance, corruption of people paid to install fire safety etc etc) and we're only aware now because of the war? Or can we reasonably attribute them to sabotage?

Interesting LD. Seems this one is 'only' 100k from the border. It's a long way on foot but well within range of missiles perhaps from Ukraine, if they had them to spare and Ukraine would be justified in hitting it. Could be good old incompetence, could be anti Putin sabotage we don't know and no one is saying. The location perhaps is important. Being so close is this a facility the Russians rely on to provide fuel for their invading army ? So if it's internal sabotage is it being targeted/co-ordinated to strategically disrupt the Russian army? If so who's doing the organisation? Seems to me sabotage is likely, it's the only way the Russian people can protest without being sent to the salt mines. |

For logistics, fuel and rail are essential. Oil depots in flames, a railway blown up in a neighbouring region of Russia ... Ukrainian forces or sympathisers seem to be at work. Good for them.

It's something that Putin never had to worry about with Syria or Chechnya, his victims fighting back on Russian soil. Hope it brings him down quicker |

All very interesting. I wonder if the Ukrainians truly have the OTHT capabilities to deliver precision munitions in the way they've been doing? Their Aerogvozdika division has been achieving great things, but somehow I think this is a bit beyond their purview.

They have the Tochka-u missile, which is road mobile and has a range of up to 40 miles. Drive it up to the border and launch, and withdraw pronto. Possible I suppose.

Especially as there are two depots ablaze in Bryansk, which definitely indicates hostile action.

I have also been looking at close-border scenarios like that. Yeah, definitely possible. I can't help thinking that they're getting third-party targetting info though, it's what you'd expect given how things have unfurled.
