You'll be getting the same label as me soon WW as a sandbagger :-)

Great run, strong fast finish tells the tale that there's still plenty more in the bank.

thanks chaps. Genuine surprise but a good reminder that those few tempo miles that seem so hard when out there solo just somehow can become HM pace on the day.

I've got HMs in 4 and 8 weeks time. Hoping to get down to 82:xx again....there you go lark :-)

That’s pretty quick for someone who pretends they aren’t on top form

Thats what I have been saying to him :)

Larks - He already has the label in my book. Couldnt run a sub 40 last week then does this :) :)

All jokes apart, well done WW - Great running

Lol, nice work WW.

I do get lack of confidence if you haven't raced (or had a good one) for a while.

I'm told I ran 18:30 for the last 5k, so maybe a bit quicker :-)

Nice racing WW :)

Absolute smash on the sub-90! Sub 38 for your next 10k? ;)

I ran a 22:41 parkrun on Sat, which is the fastest since having 17 days off in December. Wasnt flat out, but wasn't anywhere near as easy as it should be.

Never mind, 10k is in 3 weeks so even sub 45 looks a little optimistic at the moment. I'm going to try and do 3 or 4 10ks this year though as my pb looks bent out of shape with my other times. Who knows if I'll ever get there again but its the easiest one to catch without doing any new distances ;)

Shoot - I was in the office yesterday and so my weekly intervals was postponed to today.

Ive just been invited to a 13:15 meeting and so cannot now fit in a lunchtime run. Not keen on intervals in the dark so think I might do a tempo or some longer intervals tonight and save my 5 x 1k for saturday morning in daylight

I did a 5K this evening at an event put on by my Tri club, on a measured, traffic-fee, tarmac course. I donned the short-shorts and the super-shoes and did 18:48 (miles splits 6:08, 6:01, 5:54, 0:46), which was encouraging. Splits suggest a quicker time is possible I suppose, but I don't race many 5Ks at all so didn't know what pace to try for. It was enjoyable finishing feeling strong in a 5K for once though!
