Blog up. Official time gave me four seconds as I forgot how timing mats work. Not having raced in over two years.

nice work Tri, is that your 1st time under 40? I remember it feeling like a significant mental barrier smashed and it opened the door up to some faster times pretty soon after.

Not bad Baz, not bad at all. Something to build from and as you've commented it takes a little while to get back to some racing again. Pleased for you.

Better last week for me. Seems like training makes a difference :-)

First time for ages as got fat (still am) - as I lined up and set up my pace-pro it said "do you want to race PR 34:40"? No - no I don't!

fetcheveryone.com/blog-share.php?id=441677 I blogged.

Jeez Tri, slightly insulting from me there, sorry.

As an M35 you’ve still time to get down there again!

WW - no offence it’s been a while - the worst bit is my mind remembers the legs don’t which makes pacing hard 😂 also 10kg overweight

Crikey - lots of good times, well done everyone, dunno how, because in York the track was a frozen ice rink which we were banned from using and we had to run entirely around on the inside on the nearly frozen but slippy grass and sections of soft sand, avoiding the rabbit holes. PBs or comparative times completely out of the window, so I finished 50th out of 495 - 22.57, compared to 68th out of 505 in Sept with 21.43. The winning time was over a minute down on the normal winning time, so everyone felt it. The -2C was absolutely punishing, my Reynauds has never hurt so much. Went walking later it was still -2C and me and my son called it quits just after half way as it was too bloody cold! And I set my pb in 0C at Plymouth in a vest...

will blog details later of my 5 x 1k reps today. (3:56, 3:57, 3:56, 3:57 & 3:59)

Quite happy with the consistency and just sub 40 10k / 20 5k pace. The last rep was probably a 3:57 but had a hampered start due to a car reversing into his driveway right in front of me
