Decent first race back Jda, hopefully you get the chance to use the sharpness gained later. CW, Solo effort? That would be pretty tough. That's a good run in those conditions. |

Awesome comeback Alun. And fascinating to see a 19:59 / 18:44 split, I must admit I'd have given up going sub 39 if I'd gone through in 20 flat - one to keep in the memory banks for when that does happen.

It's something I love about the road relays. The challenge of running the fastest you possibly can on the day accounting for terrain and wind. The terrain there makes even pace a silly strategy from the get go though, so very impressed that Alun managed to account for conditions on a flat course so well.

Well done Alun! SPR, yep it was a solo effort. I should try again after virtual London when my legs are a bit fresher. |

Aargh!!! "We have received notification today (23rd September) from the Director of Public Health Health at Cheshire West & Chester Council that we are no longer able to stage the race on Sunday. Whilst the race complies with Covid 19 guidance from both the UK government and UK Athletics/Run Britain, Cheshire West & Chester Council are concerned with the "current increase in infection rates and the footprint of the event". There is also the concern that "Entrants coming from outside the area risk 'seeding' of the virus locally". It was also commented that "...since the end of August our daily rates have doubled, our 7 day and 14 day rates have trebled"" |

That was my last hope of a race this year. Ah well, the miles have been fun. I wonder where motivation will leak to though...

Not great and doesn't feel like things will get better soon.
