Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

No marathons for me in this half of the year, but another 40+ mile week and my local 34 mile Sandstone Trail Challenge race at the end of the week to round things off. Longest run of the year done today, but still only 15 miles, so will be interesting to see how 34 miles goes. As usual I'll sandbag my expected pace...

Said I wouldnโ€™t run another 26.2 but seeing the spring marathons take place plus the comments here Iโ€™m tempted to see if another 7 secs is in the old legs.. ๐Ÿค”

Need to plan..

Same age bracket @SH_UK, so if I can, you can?? Shared goal, maybe?

Indeed so. All planned and booked already. 5 weeks in total, includes a swift UK visit to family at the start and then we take some of them back across to the States with us for a bit of a tour. Should be good. And hopefully I'll remain in good shape for a decent shot at a PB.

No pressure but a 16 week plan for a mid October marathon would start June 23rd. Just saying. Currently on the start of week 2 of an 8 week, threshold improvement plan to take me up to the June 23rd start date. Like I say, no pressure but, if you need an idiot to push you along, I'm your man :)

Your times and training commitment are impressive Mark. Very inspiring for me as I'm in same age bracket but nowhere near your times. :-) G
