Easy to do a lockdown haircut though. My wife found out that 5mm wasn't a number 5!

12 weeks strength programme before I can run is the recommendation.

To be fair she did acknowledge I wouldn’t follow that advice and told me what to do before and after I run.

Nice easy start Bazo and you should be OK.

I reckon it was the hair that was holding WW back all those years. Surely a baldy heid is the most aerodynamic approach.

Nothing to do with the inappropriate training and poor race execution :-O

And BR - you are right, it will be a cautious start and not pushing too much. I do need to get back out there as it feels like Mrs Axe has shrunk my trousers.

I remember PtB remarking one year about my lack of a race haircut. All these things are important in the race buildup.

Always important to have pre race haircut and beard trim before the A race.
Take it steady Bazo still a while till London and the strength training will help if you can keep it up once you start running properly again.
Decided to do a 20 miler today to get an idea of where I am before starting marathon training in April. Done a few 15-17 milers since March but last 20 was in dec 2020. Did the same course as then and just ran as I felt with the idea of putting a fast mile at 18-19 miles. Really pleased with how it went with a average pace of 7:39 and the quick mile of 7:03

I previously sketched out a London training plan and I am sure I was due to be starting sometime soon. Its going to be tough to get ready, but maybe the target just needs to be aiming for GFA time.

riggsy - love the idea of a 20 miler before the plan starts and it looks like it was a good one as well :-)

that's a good one riggsy. I'd really struggle to run that for at that pace right now. I've scheduled my 1st 20 in for early July. Even that seems a stretch.

'all those years' Baz. Old buggers rubbing one another's noses in it. LOL!!
