I have had a mild autumn, until a few days ago. 13-14° C. But now around 0°. And I have done a lot of indoor running during this short transition In weather.. Today I’ll go out in proper cold and windy conditions.. brrrrrr. |

Here in the UK right now it's that awkward temperature. You step out of the door or car and it's freeeezing. 7 minutes into your run you are boiling and stripping off layers! I tend to be fine so long as I don't get wet. |

Marcothon - 3 miles or 25 minutes - whichever comes first Thanks Vixx! I thought the 25 mins came into it somewhere. |

Is there a minimum speed for 'running' defined?

Be bold and start cold! That advice comes into it's own around this time of year! It's 4 degrees here, but i'm going out in shorts and a vest for my intervals at lunchtime. |

I find that these days I “run” so slowly that I get cold and don’t often overheat, especially on pre-work early morning runs. Garfield I’ve had to get used to the cold, having moved to Canada from Scotland. It’s not too bad yet - around -3 this morning, and some snow |

CW - I think as long as you are not walking then it counts. There are other rules but the main one is the three miles or 25 minutes, so that those who are fast enough to do 3 miles in 20 minutes still get something out of it. At the moment I am slow enough that 25 minutes will be about 2.25 miles for me. If I take part I usually aim for a 100 mile month as a second target. |

Ooops, that didn't work...when trying to tag you. At least the houses are prepared for cold weather...better insulation, etc.
