Same technical Fetch issues would still apply Mr P whether I grew a pair or not. I doubt all races (time trials are a different kettle of fish of course) are of wondrously exact uniform distance specifications.

Crits are, being as how they are by nature laps of a defined circuit - but times are meaningless. Point taken nonetheless. Talking of kettles, I'll go and put the one on in the Amelioration Annexe - see you over there? |

It's like a badly scripted episode of Top Gear in here The bit under your avatar shows common race distances. Running, being by far the superior sport, has a clearly defined set of standard distances. I've added *some* for cycling and swimming, but if I've missed any common ones, tell me. If a specific race isn't showing up, because it's marked as non-PB, just let me know, as per the Feedback FAQ. |

I suppose for cycling we might try to define a set? 10, 25, 50, 100 miles?

Scribbler. They heavily overscript Top Gear. The funniest things are always the ones that weren't meant to happen.

I think I may of mentioned this before, but Triathlons are not accurate (they don't need to be) and although it says 1500m/40k/10km on the tin the actual distance will be different for all three, therefore you end up with loads of bogus pb's.

Indeed, Teabers (posts 4,026 and 4,027). The CTT numbers would be the most sensible to include, yes? 10/15/25/30/50/100 miles There are some triathlon ones that are 'standard-ish' as well: in addition to 56m, 112m, 20k and 40k it is worth including 42k (Windsor and others) and 21k. |
