I have just watched a "documentary" - one of those pop medical things. It was about blood and the presenter made black pudding from his own blood.

It occurs to me that this could be the perfect fad diet. It is basically this - eat black pudding. Eat as much as you like....but - you must make it from your own blood. The calories in the black pudding (mostly) are provided by you so the net calorie intake is tiny.

I can smell the book deal; of course anyone who tries it and has a big appetite may have some issues but that isn't a detail we need to dwell on.

Hmm, is it vegan if it's your own blood?
What if, like me, you can't stand the stuff?

You don't like yourself? Some kind of psychoanalysis seems t be in order?

I spent years not enjoying black pudding but then I had some that was nice - unfortunately much f the stuff we get is low quality, it is a product that is worth paying more for good one.

Our local butcher does award winning black pudding (made from Doreen's blood, apparently...) and it's still gross.

Now, don't go giving me excuses to visit the islands. I'll have to do a taste-test.
