...At least, I've tried to complete the registration process but seem to get stuck in a loop between Aspire and Justgiving :-( I will try again tomorrow.

Hmm, I've signed up for Swimathon 3x5km in March. Would it be cheating to combine the two?

Oooh I had no idea the dates had been moved! I've tried 2 or 3 times before but never got much further than dover due to *reasons*, but can't hurt to try again..

I got stuck in that as well LazyDaisy. Ended up creating 3 Justgiving pages ;) I just tried to see if it was working and it still won't let me login and I have created a 4th Justgiving page by mistake :)

The way this has worked in the past is that we run a Wee private league here on Fetch. A spreadsheet (google pages) goes up, into which you can input your miles each time you do them. A separate "squad-ladder style" wiki page is set up and you can move your name up the board as you tick off the miles.

It’s always been left to personal choice whether or not you also sign up to the official Aspire site and/or make a donation to them as you see fit.

I’ll dig out the spreadsheet and get the link sorted so you can see what I mean.

I'm in for fun, I always get the same people sponsoring me every time I do anything for charity and I've started to feel bad asking. I've already got the Swimathon as my fundraising target this year.

Ooh fab, thanks Angus. I won't bother with the sponsorship bit (friende and family get a bit fed up with it, and I certainly don't need (another) swim hat) although I'll happily make a donation.
