Yorkshire Pie
Soothing may be the word. I read it over 2 nights where I couldn't sleep. Not much happening was perfect for that, although the writing kept me engaged enough that I didn't drift straight back off. Probably not something I'd go back to or search out his other stuff, but still worth a read.

Thank you Badger, I was wondering. Crystal Palace also gets a mention (not by name) and there is also a river but of course lots of cities have rivers.

I was thinking Charing Cross, but Vauxhall makes more sense.

i really like this, similar to Linds. Plotless but a nice read. very evocative of many journeys.
