Ok I’ve watched a video in technique and tried this way round, that way round, this foot forward, that foot forward and think I’ve got my optimal direction and stance. I’ve managed about 20 seconds a couple of times.

You’ll soon get the hang of it. It “clicks” once you get the right rhythm. I haven’t yet, but managed it a few years ago.

I have progressed already :-)
On a good spin I can last about 60 spins. No idea what time that equates to though!

I can’t even move my arms without dropping the hoop, I don’t see how moving my legs is going to happen!!

I've decided to take up hula hooping as a way of doing some core strengthening. It's not very easy...

Purps has found us a 30 day challenge to get started:
Days 1-4 5 mins,

Days 5-7 7 mins,

Days 8-10 10 mins,

Days 11-13 12 mins,

Days 14-16 16 mins,

Days 17-19 17 mins,

Days 20-23 20 mins,

Days 24-27 25 mins,

Days 28-29 27 mins,

Day 30 30 mins
