Lots and lots of foliage. They also all seem to be producing multiple flowers.

My best year for sunflowers and this is my tallest Clearly 7', possibly 8' (I'm 6'2"). I attribute my success to planting very many seeds, and planting them in deep pots so they were already quite tough before they were exposed to slugs. Some of mine are multi-headed - I think this is the variety rather than chance. |

Have we declared a winner? I’m quietly pleased with my guerrilla sunflowers. (Spot the red kite ) |
