That's alright KB - I told JJ you were up for helping. I don't think we're gonna be short of things to do - just turn up at the next meeting (I guess JJ will finalise a date on here), and you'll get roped into summat

I received my copy of UK athletics rules for competition this morning. Wondered if you have already applied for a race permit? You have to do it 6 months in advance apparently. Rule 204 (1).
I imagine one of the organisers already has a copy of this book? If not I can copy the relevant pages for you.

Top pics Nightjar thanks.
JJ Flash, someone on the group messages said they are an approved course measurer, might save some money if you can rope him in.

Ok, Update time.
I have just got off the phone with the UKA Licence officer - he is happy with the date and the timescale.
Nightjar heard from Rugby and Northampton today and their race is set for the 9th November - so anyone who wants a pb 10miler should get in touch with them.
Just Draycote to confirm the date with and we are ready to go. Watch this space folks - it's all getting rather exciting!
We need a referee to put on the forms - if there is a properly qualified one out there please get in touch with me now, otherwise the UKA chap is going to try to help.

Draycote have confirmed the date is available. We can take the words "Proposed date" off it now. Book the 23rd November in your diaries Folks - We will ALL be running round Draycote Water.
For the Organisers - we need to meet again urgently - we have to sign off the paperwork and do a risk assesment to get the thing up and running. I suggest a run round Draycote Water again on Sunday 13th July with a meeting in the Cafe afterwards at 12. Last lappers to leave the Visitor centre at 11 as per last week. I will get a list of the things we have to cover up here and out by e-mail tonight or tomorrow morning.
