Hi everyone,

Adding myself to the list today, will do anything I can to help.

May I say, it strikes me that Warwickshire would be a good place to organise the run - it is easily reached by motorways from most of the country and it is where MicknPhil live and are very well known. We should be able to use the local press to access wider coverage and build from that.

Warwickshire has some very good places to set the run - gaydon and draycote have been mentioned - there is also Charlecote park, Warwick castle etc and a number of small and disused airfields. There are disused railway lines and canals which could be used for loops. These places are bound to come cheaper and be more inspiring than race tracks.

I would be happy to do some exploring of locations and find the contacts (I already have some from another charity event I help to organise).

Draycote sounds good, prob quite easy to have different distance options to suit differnt people. really enjoyed the marathon (minus one lap), was nice to do laps and pick up food as I passed my bag each time

Boingy
I had some feedback from Gaydon, and despite the PR manager at Jaguar & Land Rover liking the idea, the man who is in charge of the track....he say no. :-(

Draycote does sound like a nice venue for a run and is pretty central for everyone to get to.
