From feedback gained over the last 3 years we've made several changes to the organisation of The Forces March in particular check-in/registration and catering provisions.
We've also changed the route to include a more sceneic but most importantly a safer route.
The atmosphere in 2012 was fantastic. The people of the towns and villages were trememdous and were coming out to cheer and wave the runners and walkers as they passed by. We are already getting a great deal of contact from locations along the entire 132 mile route who are keen to get more involved.

We are hoping to attract 200 participants for 2013. Many of this year's entrants have already signed up for next year which is great and we would love to see more Fetchies there too!

We've also revamped the entire website. Please take a look - www.forcesmarch.org.uk

Training yesterday was two hours of stand up paddleboarding - no hills, but plenty of core work! :)

Two hours? I couldn't do 2 minutes! ;-)

Our physio team leader is preparing a training and nutrition guide for everyone taking part. We'll upload it to the website as soon as it's ready!

We've just had TWO wounded soldiers sign up for next year. One lost both legs and the other suffered severe damage to his right knee. Both are going to tackle the 132 miles and the huge hills on Handcycles!! How inspiring!

The Forces March always attracts amazing people. The youngest ever was 15. The oldest is 83. We've had serving soldiers, Veterans, emergency services, corporate and many individuals too. Many walk it but the real hard core attempt to run the whole event. World-Record breaking runner Wendy Shaw has completed the march 3 times so far.
