What is it with you Brits and your hedges? Map had me beside some promising if unpronouncable reservoir but all I get is more B road and hedge. You can't see any od the nature for all the hedges!

Indeed congratulations Jelly!

I passed 500 last night I will be finished by the end of June (pending any disasters) I’ve really loved it.

I haven’t posted often as I come back spend so much time reading the posts I never get time to do an update it’s been a cracking thread.

(*will there be more fetch challenges 🧐 it’s been a huge success!)

Also meant to say my mum (geordiemum) decided to sign up although she said ‘I won’t be able to do 600 mile in 5 months I said just do what you can it’s no problem if you don’t finish it but it’s a bit motivation for you.

My goodness she’s at 332 miles it’s certainly motivated she checks where she is and may do an extra mile to round up to a number or like last night we went for a curry. The restaurant is about 1.5m from my house I said I’d drive or we could walk there and get a lift back… we walked both ways as it got her (us) an extra 1.5m of course I had to do a bit more to get me to the 500m mark.

So while she was active anyway with running and walking she’s walking rather than taking the car on many occasions now. So a huge thank you shes 76 and as competitive as ever!

I hope we're all that keen when we get to 76 gg!

I am now gentle running along the path at the side of the River Dee - it's definitely been "straightened" a bit here but there's something quite pleasing about the almost geometrical perspective.


In real life I ran alongside the much more tree lined and twisty banks of the York Ouse. Also very pleasant. :-)
