Puddles I can deal with if there's something firm underneath. It's puddles on top of mud that I'm bored of.

I went out Cath-powered today for the first time since probably October. It wasn’t too bad, though the Cotic feels decidedly steep compared to the geometry of the EBike.

It was crunchy ice in places, soft snow in others, and shallow mud - the type of which Steppie can only dream of.

Good to be out again, watch my HR creep up, and not feel chest pain when it did :-)

I went out with a friend today. Similar conditions to you cath. Mostly crunchy, some snow and some ice too. My first ever snowy ride. Also my first time doing the Strathpuffer (24hr race) loop. I enjoyed it.

Been playing on the CX bike in snow over last few days - a bit hilarious, especially trying to ride across cambers which alternate between crisp snow, sled compacted snow and frozen ruts!

I’ve lost confidence on the bike again, which is really frustrating. I guess I need to get out more again and build back up.

Cath - it comes back and you have the right part of the eorld to rebuild that confidence

I'm stupid which helps cover my lack of time off road :¬)
