He’s another great artist like Marvin Gaye or Jimi Hendrix or Ian Curtis (!) where you wonder what more he might have achieved if he’d have lived longer

I know the deep soul guys would just love it, but the off-key backing vocals don't work for me ..... not that that's unusual, it's very often the case and the "flaw" is what makes the soul of the record so special.
