B-Lass Mar 2011 9:40am, 14 Mar 2011 9,409 posts	0 B-Lass Seconded! Walked to mile 4, went over on ankle. Walk /jogged to 8 then pretty much walked/ plodded the rest of the way! Tried to plod all the downhills though

I guess it is too late to try and get the race distance changed to 26.2 in the fetch race details for this? It annoys me that it has come up with a new PB distance in my portfolio!
a.k.a Billy Mar 2011 10:22am, 14 Mar 2011 1,230 posts	0 a.k.a Billy BW - Not that i'm bothered but the total distance on the full clanger is closer to 27miles than 26 or even 26.2 for that matter. I've said it many times to anyone that'll listen that this is a fantastic event - I love it. Back every year if i'm fit I reckon.

I was worried about team flinky, had expected you to catch us up but you were walking badly at the beginning, glad you managed to finish.

BrianJ, think it was you that went by me on that steep downhill (which I really struggled with and properly did for my legs). Followed you through Bedford town centre then lost sight of you on the river bank.
BrianJ Mar 2011 2:48pm, 14 Mar 2011 701 posts	0 BrianJ Bjw, yes that was me, I was fine zooming down the hill but legs were protesting by the time I reached the river. I wore trail shoes, but would have been better in ordinary road shoes as the ground was so hard.
