Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

looks like no heart for me this month either, and I'm falling gently down the rankings, but still happy and above that line...

JRD you are a star.

hey, just taken the time to look at Bree's profile. Get back in there at the top of the list! First half in feb, started running mid last year? A most worthy leader.

I would agree, come back Bree. I started out this year not knowing how it would go - I was recovering from a tendon injury and a 2 month lay off at the start of the year and looking to get some base miles in; at the time 100 miles a month was a challenging target and would give me more miles that last years 1089 if I stuck at it. First two months this thread was a major help in getting focused on laying down these base miles (I did 99 in Jan and 101 in Feb)

FRom that base, the rest of the year has gone extremely well, and I'm in the latter stages of a marathon training prog for a 3:15 attempt - hence the huge miles racking up at the moment (which will fall back after the marathon). I'm planning to run the marathon, drop back to less than 50 for the month after to let the body recover, then try and keep to 100 a month for the rest of the year. After my marathin last year I totally lost my mojo, but am hoping the 100 a month will keep my running so that I can start from a higher base early next year. So yes I will end up ahead of 1200 (injuries etc permitting) but the 100 a month has played a very important role in my running this year, so I intend to stay around!
